i wrote this matlab code following many references. BUT i can't find the same diagrams.
the formula is included in top comment.

thank's at advance.

RE: whats wrong with this matlab code (helix antenna in axial mode)

Please add the following information (and do so every time you ask a question on a forum):

What did you expect?
What did you get?

As it stands, I have no idea what the problem is. The script runs without error for me and spits out a couple of graphs. Is that good?

hello and thank's for the reply

i didn't say that it deosn't work, but i specified that the diagram doesn't match the correct one.

the first figure is the diagram in cartesian form and the second is the polar form.

the correct diagram is far from what i got.

RE: whats wrong with this matlab code (helix antenna in axial mode)

Although I don't do Mathlab, the general approach to such problems is to back up and simplify.

Start with a dipole and get that model working to your satisfaction. Then maybe a full wave loop. Then slowly work your way up to the axial mode helix. This approach will usually reveal where it went wrong.
