Wildfire 5 message area location

(OP)
We have one user that prefers to have his message window and dashboards (like the assemble component interface) at the bottom of the screen vs. in between file menu and main graphics window. We just started in WF5. Tools/Customize screen lets me move toolbars and such around, but I am not finding anything that controls the location of the message / dashboard areas.

What am I missing?

RE: Wildfire 5 message area location

Yeah,

PTC couldn't handle doing a Message area at bottom or anything other than Ribbon Interface uptop.

You can have him Use Windows Magnifier and put a 1x scale win Magnifier screen at the bottom. Or just call your VAR or PTC and start Yelling. you'll probably be ignored in any case maybe threatening to leave PTC and buy Solidworks might convince them to bring it back. How long do you think it will be untill Pro/E Creo, WhathaveU will allow non attached floating toolbars. even SolidWorks has those.

You could install a Windows version of the Unix Tail command and run Tail on the trail.txt.## file to see the message line 1 by 1

I prefer many things and a bright as hell white or Grey background is not one of them, neither is the increasingly less customizable ProE interface.

Dan it sounds as though you have a case of the Pro/E Blues
