Why the high discharge(80c) temperature trip an export compressor in a gas plant?, as the gas will be exported and will not be processed any more
Thanks
Ahmad

RE: high discharge temperature

Protect pipeline coating? Pipeline design temperature? 80C though seems a little high if coating protection was the reason. I'm assuming this is a centrifugal as 80C is low for a recip style machine.

Do you not have any any documentation on the reasoning where trips are set?

Yes it's a centrifugal compressor, there is documentation for trips reasons but the hi discharge temp. wasn't mentioned.
thanks for your help

RE: high discharge temperature

If your plant is offshore, it could be because of temp limitation on the flex-joint.
