hai,

i am using NX-8,when i am doing vane finishing with a taper ball nose cutter (0.25")by using

variable contour--swarf drive option-- the tool is gouging with vane surface.then i adjusted the surface percentages and outside tolerances,still it is touching the vane surface.what method i have to use to finish the vane with out gouge.i added image for your reference.

There is a blade finishing operation for this. It is part of the turbomachinery package, which is specialized for these types of parts. For example, it has application specific geometry, such as blades, splitters, hub, etc. In NX CAM, go to create operation, Type mill multi blade, Subtype blade finish.
