Class V Florida License - No Installation of Alarm Components

Guys

I am a class V Florida underground fire contractor. I understand from statutes and regulations that we cannot install any electrical alarm components, such as a backflow tamper switch and alarm setup. You have to be certified as an eletrical contractor or fire alarm contractor. Does this sound accurate?

We have a large project and the electrical sub thinks this is in our scope, but other than plans stating the system is fully automatic and alarmed, nothing specifically mentions tamper switches anywhere on plans or per local codes.

not from florida, and hav nto been there in awhile,

you might be able to install them such as a piv with a built in tamper switch, but not wire it, that would be the fire alarm guys work
