Precision air conditioning
Precision air conditioning
(OP)
Hi everybody!
I am looking for a precisioning air conditioning device for a lab. The requested condition of the room is 24 +/- 1°C and 55 +/- 5% Relative Humidity.
Is there anyone who can recommend such a device for this application?
I have searched and found out that STULZ, Uniflair and Lennox have such devices for similar applications.I do not have exprience on these brands about their performance. I would appreciate if anybody could share his/her comments on this.
Thank all of you in advance.
Best regards,
Oguz

RE: Precision air conditioning
I have had great success using Liebert precision air conditioning systems for labs and computer rooms. They are highly regarded for such critical applications. Their web site is

Another manufacturer of such equipment is Dataaire, although I have no experience with thier products.

Good Luck!

RE: Precision air conditioning
Some good AHU makes that I've come across include Haakon and Temptrol. Size it for (estimated) 1.5-2 cfm per square foot, depending on lab activity. Hopefully you have chilled water available for cooling, because DX systems, as a general rule, don't provide the degree of cooling and dehumidification control you need for this application (although technology is improving - certain multi-stage units might do the job).
The central unit should cool only; terminal boxes will be required to be equipped with reheat... good luck! -CB
