Cutting apart in sheet metal

Cutting apart in sheet metal

Cutting apart in sheet metal

(OP)
When i make half tube in sheetmetal useing base flange tab then use direction 1 and 2 and extrude it to different surfaces.
When i use extrude cut to make it on an angle it does not flatten with cut i have made it stay straight.
Im not sure if im doing the right thing any help would be grateful.

RE: Cutting apart in sheet metal

Can you post the part for review 7 testing?

RE: Cutting apart in sheet metal

If it's what I think it is, you could do the slash cut on the blank, then unflatten it for any further modeling.
When you do a slash cut on a rolled tube, that's a machining operation, and it leaves an edge contour that you really can't do with sheetmetal tools, in real life and in SW. You might be able to visualize it with some Jello or wax. Cut a diagonal end on a rolled tube, unroll it, and the cut surface as unrolled is no longer planar, but twisted.
