Wood Beam ID

(OP)
I am running a quick design check on the (2) 2x12 header shown in the attached photo. I usually start with a Spruce-Pine-Fir No.2 when checking Fb. I need to pinpoint the ID of the beam in a bit more detail. I am looking to ID the species as something with an Fb around 1150 psi (min). Any insight as to a good ID of this beam shown in attached photo? Thanks,

RE: Wood Beam ID

The dimensions would suggest they are not dimension lumber. Looks like 1.75" x 11.875" which would be consistent with Microllam beams manufactured by TrusJoist. Could be timberstrand or parallam also but I would have expected to see the manufacturer's stamp every four feet or so on the side of the beam.

RE: Wood Beam ID

Ditto..."engineered" wood.

RE: Wood Beam ID

Yep - BUT it should be marked and the "numbers" easily found on the Web.
