coiled cord

Hello everybody. Long time lurker - first time post.

I am having difficulty locating coiled cord similar to that used on a car phone charger, some trailer light plugs etc. Ideally, it would be two conductor (14 - 18ga) with 1/4" to 3/8" OD with an outdoor compatible jacket. Any ideas?

RE: coiled cord

www.digikey.com has some listed, search using "coiled cord". Mostly phone cords and keyboard cables, but also a few power cords.

www.mcmaster.com has more, and has a wider variety including SOW and SJOW ratings, search "coiled wire" there.

200 to 300 pcs to verify design. Beldon no longer supplies this type of cord since they were sold. I have located some options with Oleflex, but pricing for the 2 pieces required for each assembly has the coiled cables costing more than the finished product - $60/ea in this quantity!! Looks like China (ie.ebay) will be the only alternative. Thank you for checking.

RE: coiled cord

Search for "Retracting Cords" on www.mcmaster.com McMaster-Carr has what you need.
