open files SE ST4 in NX7.5

open files SE ST4 in NX7.5

(OP)
Hi,

I have some problems with NX7.5:

Is it possible to open files from SE ST4 in NX7.5?
I can open files from an earlier version but not these.

Is it also possible to load an SE assembly and get results in NX7.5?
I can make boundary conditions but get 'result is in wrong format' when solving.
(when I use SE .par, everything works fine)

Also my CAST opens but I only get the table of contents, no tutorials, he keeps saying 'loading'...

Thanks for helping!

Joris

RE: open files SE ST4 in NX7.5

My guess is you have incompatible Parasoid release versions between NX and SE.
Check the version of Parasolid in each program. You cannot open a newer version file in an older version.

Thanks Looslib!
But do you know how to ged a result from a loaded SE assembly in NX?

Thanks!

RE: open files SE ST4 in NX7.5

SE ST4 files can be opened in NX 7.5.5 and 8.0.

OK, thanks. Now I have the files in .stp, it is possible to open these but I have every time the same problem when I want to see the result, error: 'result is in wrong format'. I tried the solution from SORT1 (see other topic in this forum) but it still doesn't work..

Can anybody give me some advise please?

Or does anyone know where I can get 1 to 1 conversations online to help me with some specific problems? I'm losing a lot of time in searching for the same solution again and again.

THANKS!
