Use of polymers in doorbell manufacturing

Use of polymers in doorbell manufacturing

(OP)
Hello, i'm a 2nd year material engineering student at Birmingham University.

I've been asked in a group project to analise the door bell push of a comercial doorbell, however the only tests available to us were; combustion, tensile test and density tests.

With our limited knowledge we have decided that the polymer used was polypropylene.  My question to you all is is this a viable conclusion and if not, why?

Also are there any more widely used polymers for this application? The specimen was injection moulded.

Thank you!!
