Expansion joint assembly test pressure

Expansion joint assembly test pressure

Expansion joint assembly test pressure

(OP)
Folks, this is the first time I buy expansion joint (I am a vessel engineer), and I need to confirm what vendor told me the hydrotest pressure is. Please do not quote from B31.3 since I already know what it says in many places about hydrotest.
Refer to the attached 2 pages, please advise which test pressure shall be used for the entire expansion joint with one welded flange assembly, 101, 276, or 476 psig ?
(The rest of the pipe will be tested at 585 psig per code)

RE: Expansion joint assembly test pressure

Have you verified the supplier's EJMA calculations?

And... how are you going to test the other spool at 585psig? How are you going to test the field weld?

Steven,
The vendor is a US famous vendor. The link I attached is there calc on the second page. Vendor told me they will test at 101 psig including the welded flange even it is designed for 1450F/60 psig. I just need to confirm what they told me is correct, and 276 psig, 476 psig shown on their calc can be ignored. As for how to test the rest of the spool, shop and field will take care, not a concern at this time.
