COR-TEN STEEL FOR STACK
COR-TEN STEEL FOR STACK
(OP)
Dear All,
do you think is possible to use cor-ten steel for a stack with smokes at 370°C?
Could you suggest an alternative material and relevant data sheet for this range of temperature?
Thank fro you help

Where can I find a diagram of strenth and Young module in function of temperature for Corten B?

leoromboli;
My suggestion would be to use the web site below and establish a knock-down factor for the Corten-B steel as with other stated steel grades;

For Young's Modulus you can search and find this information for carbon/low alloy steels and use the same approach for Corten-B steel.
