In this proyect there are machines as: boiler dry, conveyors, cyclones, pipes, chipscreens, silos, hammer mill...In europe, there ar others jointed in EN but en USA I think there are a lot of standards (ASME,ANSI,NFPA...) and I don´t know which is most restrictive standard

Best regards

RE: American standards in general

You're right in the US there are a lot of standards! It's because of how they were developed. Different ones apply to different items and, depending on what you are doing, your job can require use of many different standards.

For example, ASME, or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers puts out a number of standards that would apply to your boiler, (and possibly your conveyer).

ANSI, or the American National Standards Institutes, puts out other standards (maybe the silo?; you're outside my area).

NFPA is the National Fire Protection Association and it provides the requirements for fire detection and supression.

The local jurisdiction (the city or county) should tell you what codes are required for their location. Also ask the company that gave you the contract.
