Assembly shells and solids

Hi

Im making a sandwich element in Abaqus with the top and bottom flange modelled as a shell (high strength concrete) and the insulation layer in the middle as a solid. How do I assemble the two parts?

RE: Assembly shells and solids

Hi tg1234,

You may want to look into applying a skin to a 3D geometry in the Property module.

Hope this helps,

Hi

Sorry for the late answer.

I've tried to find the 3d geometry in the property module, but couldn't. I've solved the problem by realising that one of my part should be modelled as a solid and not a shell.

Thanks
