Is Ro or RO+Crystallization is suitable to use for this produced water?? is not what process I should use?
Thank you in advance for you participations.

RE: A Produced Water Treatment Selection

It also depends somewhat on the future use of the water.

However, you have 6 times the amount of salt that is contained in seawater. You also do not mention suspended matter being present.

RO is probably out of the question as the percent recovery (RO Treated Water/Brine Waste * 100) will be very low.

You are looking at some type of evaporation process. Solar ponds or evaporator.

RE: A Produced Water Treatment Selection

As bimr said your TDS is way above RO application. Usually we use crystallization if the TDS is above 240,000 to 260,000 mg/L. The only limitation is capacity. Your flowrate should be less than 100m3/hr(?) to be able to use crystallizer.

RE: A Produced Water Treatment Selection

Did you find any traction on this? Are you actively looking for water treatment companies?

RE: A Produced Water Treatment Selection

Brine concentrator with Falling film technology is one of the preferred technology for such a TDS range. Aquatech Inc has reference too, in Oman Mukaizna Field.

RE: A Produced Water Treatment Selection

Not sure what you will be using the water for but the pH is really low and as such the water will be really aggressive. Very high in manganese...you have to take it out in what ever process you select. Otherwise you will get "black water" when the manganese reacts with any free chlorine that you might add to the water if any.

Taha
We have a process that will remove many of the contaminants except for the NaCl/KCl. The system generates hydroxyl radicals that enable precipitation of the bad actors and removal of the hydrocarbons and bacteria. Filed testing has demonstrated the ability to produce clear salt water with extremely favorable economics. Please let me know if you would like more info.
