Mass moment of inertia

Mass moment of inertia

Mass moment of inertia

(OP)
Hello!
I am trying to calculate the mass moment of inertia for a component. I am using Analysis - measure bodies - show information window, but I am unsure if the moment of inertia I receive is the one for mass or area? The unit I would like to receive is kg*m2

Best regards
/Martin

RE: Mass moment of inertia

Moment of intertia is returned on the mass not the area. For the information to be correct, the material must of of uniform density. You can change the units by clicking Analysis -> Units which will give you the option to select the units of your choice.

cheers

Si

Best regards
