Broken View Won't Edit

Broken View Won't Edit

Broken View Won't Edit

(OP)
Recently upgraded from 7.5.3.3 to 7.5.5.4

Previous to this the feature worked perfectly fine. The drawing and broken view were created after the update.

I bring up the broken view tool, and am unable to select the view I wish to modify. So I went into boundary tool box and told it to make the boundary automatic. I am still unable to select the view in order to create a new broken view.

In order to edit the one view I had to delete all the views and recreate them. Very inefficient.

Any idea what went wrong or if there was another trick I could have used to fix the problem?

Thanks for your time.

RE: Broken View Won't Edit

Have you contacted GTAC and submitted an example drawing for them to look at?

No I figured there was a trick of the trade that I was missing and wanted to verify that before I submitted anything to GTAC. Company I work for does NOT like me to send drawings or models out to any external customers.

I can only use it in extreme circumstances.

RE: Broken View Won't Edit

I bring this up because you seem to imply that something changed from one MR to another. It's critical to report these sorts of issues to GTAC and development, however I have to say that with respect to 'Broken Views', unless it's some sort of show-stopper, there may not be much that can be done since NX 7.5 will soon move into critical maintanance-only mode. Besides, starting with NX 8.0, the Broken View function has been replaced with a totally new function.
