Solar Absorption of Hardcoat Anodizing

Solar Absorption of Hardcoat Anodizing

Solar Absorption of Hardcoat Anodizing

(OP)
I am trying to find some data on the solar absorption of hardcoat anodized aluminum (MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 1, non-dyed). Since it is mil spec, I thought there would be some info somewhere, but I cannot find anything.

I was able to find some number on emissivity (0.83-0.86), but that was about it. One paper I ran into did list solar absorption for different anodized aluminum, but it was vague and I wasn't sure exactly what each type was. For example, "clear" is listed, but that could mean hardcoat clear, or just regular clear anodizing. The data was also listed on this website: http://wiki.naturalfrequency.com/wiki/Absorptance_...

Has anyone seen what I am looking for?

The last resort is to have some samples tested, but I was hoping it would not come to that.
