Lateral Force Vs Displacement Graph

Lateral Force Vs Displacement Graph

Lateral Force Vs Displacement Graph

(OP)
HI, I have analysed post buckling analysis on Steel Plate Shear Wall based on different yield stress using RIKS (displacement) and General (yield stress) both statics. I have obtained the data and plotted Lateral Force vs Displacement graph. However, from the graph it have shown the force is negative along the displacement AND it also shown the bigger the stress I applied, the stronger the resistance force against the displacement. Therefore, I am wondering is this the nature of RIKS analysis or SPSW ? I have checked the stress pattern and it seem to be correct as the more the stress I applied the more column will yield. Therefore, I am confuse with this issue as I am confuse of obtained data and plot graph from ABAQUS. Thank you
