Diesel Engines

(OP)
Has anybody have experience with using kerosine in a diesel engine. If so what manufacture, model, etc. What problems if any where encountered.

RE: Diesel Engines

boilerman:the main problem is seizing of the fuel injection pump and injector sticking due to the lack of lubrication from kerosine. You will have to mix a small amount of mineral oil with the kerosine. About 1.0 % by volume would be the minimum. In other words, add 1 gallon of light mineral oil to every 100 gallons of kerosine.
