Flame protection mesh

Flame protection mesh

(OP)
I am designing an equipment that is assembled in a pelican type case. The case has to be CE certified and the CE requires that if the case has openings these have to avoid possible flames coming through if the unit catch on fire internally.
I am looking for a wire cloth mesh that will meet this requirement, can anybody help me with this?

RE: Flame protection mesh

6x6-W1.4xW1.4 mesh should be pretty fire resistant.

RE: Flame protection mesh

Good morning Txedes,

The only thing I've seen that could be considered a mesh and truly resistant to flame spread consists of a pretty fine screen that has been treated with an intumescent paint. It's a one use type of deal. There are some pre-engineered systems out there for the stuff, sorry I don't have a product name.

regards,
Michel
