Old steel joist load tables

Old steel joist load tables

Old steel joist load tables

(OP)
I am trying to evaluate floor loading on 1986 building construction. The framing plan called
for open web steel bar joists, size SJ16 by US Gypsum. I don't have these tables by USG in my
office. Can anyone help me locate a copy? I spent several hours on the net and gave up!

Thanks for any help

Thanks JedClampett
I guess I will have to get field dimensions in order to answer questions in sji. I was hoping someone
would have an old load table since have the size callout on the original drawings.

RE: Old steel joist load tables

Need a span for sure.

I have the "old" joist tables from SJI and am not finding that exact part. Something close goes back to the 1930's and 40's??

Since the 1950's I believe they all switched to the more common sizing like "12K8" or such?? But I could be wrong!!
