(OP)
Can anyone help in finding correct nusselt number correlation for following condition?

Multiple array of air jets (nozzles) in Forced convection air impingement ovens

I am trying to figure out maximum heat transfer coefficient (h) based on nozzle diameter (D) and distance between nozzle plate and impingement surface (H)

I know Nusselt number is generally a function of the Reynolds number and the Prandtl number..

I am trying to find correct nusselt number correlation for the above condition.

Pl. Help

Thanks in Advance

RE: correct nusselt number correlation

Since low numbers favor conduction and this is seemingly a highly turbulent situation, I would think that you should start with numbers in the range of 100 to 1000 and see what sensitivity that range has on your results. If you have some physical data to help verify your calculations, that would certainly help as you seem to be lacking some rather important velocity data at this time.

RE: correct nusselt number correlation

Try Kercher's correlation. If you can't find it on the net let me know and I'll look for it in my old General Electic Heat Transfer Data Book.
