Royal Aircraft Establishment Technical Report 72056 Birdstrikes

RE: Royal Aircraft Establishment Technical Report 72056 Birdstrikes

IR stuff...

The report link You provided is for AFFDL-TR-74-155 "ANALYSIS OF SHOCK-ABSORBING CONCEPTS FOR BIRD-PROOF WINDSHIELDS OF ADVANCED AIR FORCE VEHICLES".

REF 72 of the AFFDL doc lists the requested RAE doc as follows...

72. I.I. McNaughtan, "The Design of Leading-Edge and Intake Wall Structure to Resist Bird Impact", Royal Aircraft Establishment T.R. 72056, AD-903942, Apr. 1972.

Document AD-903942 [AD903942, ADA903942, etc] does not appear in any DTIC searches.

Regards, Wil Taylor

RE: Royal Aircraft Establishment Technical Report 72056 Birdstrikes

I believe the report is available from the UK National Archives - ref: AVIA 6/24014 . They can provide estimate for copying the report. www.nationalarchives.gov.uk I'd tell you more but after I registered at that website it doesn't seem to want to work with Safari. sad
