Publish/copy geometry: Is ther any way to change the coordinate system used?

Publish/copy geometry: Is ther any way to change the coordinate system used?

Publish/copy geometry: Is ther any way to change the coordinate system used?

(OP)
Hello all,
I've been trying my luck with some manner of top-down design, using the Publish Geometry and Copy Geometry tools to share some references between models.

A problem I've run into: Changing the coordinate system to which a Copy Geometry feature is bound. Is there any way to do it after the Copy Geometry feature's been created? Edit Definition only allows changing of the base model and the Publish Geometry feature within it. I've gone through the Edit References menus as well to try to convince it to use a different coordinate system, though the usual result of that is "Unable to reroute any reference."

Is there even a way to change the coordinate reference once the Copy Geometry feature's been made?

For here on though, I'm guessing that I need to get out of the habit of using the default coordinate system, PRT-CSYS_DEF, as a reference, and use something that's created to be more mobile itself.

....and as frequently happens, the answer was right there in front of me, to be found right after asking for help. smile
The button next to the Open Model button, which looks suspiciously like the icon used to indicate "Add Component to Assembly" is in fact the "Specify external Copy geometry placement" button, which goes right to the window to specify the coordinate system.

So yeah, I guess that'll work.

There are only about 12 good icons, the rest all look like something else. What was wrong with words, there are thousands of those.
