Cannot Delete Part in Teamcenter

Cannot Delete Part in Teamcenter

Cannot Delete Part in Teamcenter

(OP)
Hi guys,
I'm trying to delete a part from Teamcenter v5.3 and although I have all access on that part (including Delete and Write) I am unable to delete it?
When highlighting the part in teamcenter, the delete icon on the top of the page remains grey'd out. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Chris

RE: Cannot Delete Part in Teamcenter

Try right clicking and use "CUT"

RE: Cannot Delete Part in Teamcenter

Use TC to see if any other parts reference that one (it is used in an assembly or wave link / promotion feature). If any other parts reference that one, TC won't let you delete it.

SDETERS that doesn't truly delete the part.

cowski,
thanks, I used the relation browser (is that the correct way) to see if it was used anywhere else. Although it wasn't, the delete icon suddenly wasn't grey'd out anymore. I think this might be a glitchy feature in teamcenter? It seems to happen a lot to me. One second I'm not allowed to delete an part, and one second later, I'm able to.

Amen CPaul... Amen! LOL!
