Dear Friends

Please reply

I have to clean Stud Bolt for coating. Present Condition, Rusted, Full with with dust, 60% thread is greased.

I think i have to go as per following step but need your suggestion.

1. cleaning with wire brush for removing rust & dust.
2. De-greasing by De greasing liquid to remove grease.
3. Washing with Soap Liquid water
4. Wash with high pressure washer
5. Dry after cleaning with high pressure air.
6. Or apply hot air if possible to dry the bolts and nuts
7. apply coating in 100% dry condition.

Please add or correct me.

Regards

RE: cleaning procedure

I would add a mechanical step after it's been mostly cleaned, btw 3-4. Also what coating? are you aware of what this does to preload on the fastener?
