Indent function is not intuitive (to me)
Indent function is not intuitive (to me)
(OP)
Hello all,
After watching several videos, reading the help file and different blog posts, and trying this for 2 days I must admit defeat and ask for help. I am trying to do a simple indent feature with no luck. The part file is attached (SW2011 SP5.0). For your reference, it is a multibody part and "Imported1" is the target body and "Revolve2" is the tool body. I am trying to show hose ends in the received "crimped" format. Let me know what the hell I am missing here, thanks.

First of all you have the Target Body & Tool Body reversed. The non-crimped part should be the target Body, and a surface (or solid) of the deformed portion of the crimped part should be created & used as the Tool Body. (Imagine wrapping clay on the outside of the crimped part to create the Tool)
