Creating a negative of a geometry in ST3

Creating a negative of a geometry in ST3

How do you create a negative of a feature using ST3? I dont have the mold design addon.

For example, I create the positive part that is a mouse for example. I want to create the mold for this curvature surface. So ideally I will extrude a full block in assembly as another part file, then I want to cut certain regions sort of 'to extent' of the other part such that I create the 'negative' of the initial part.

How do you do this?
