Figured out easy way to remove locked parameters

Figured out easy way to remove locked parameters

(OP)
Hey guys I figured out an easy way to delete locked parameters. The easiest way is to start a new part using your start part, "With your configuration".

1. Open the part with locked parameters.

2. Start a new part.

3. Copy all features starting with the coordinate system.

4. Paste into new part.

5. Click the green check mark.

6. Delete first unwanted datums and coord in the new part created by your start part.

7. BINGO! Parameters are gone.

Note: This will not work if your part already has a drawing that does not have shown dimensions. You may have to redo the entire drawing. I just figured this out so I am getting the bugs worked out of my new found idea. Assemblies of course would be a bigger challenge. Very hard to do if a drawing already exists. If your using sheet metal then your new part will also have to be sheet metal. Or what ever add on you are using. Make sure you use INFO/RELATIONS to see if there are any parents. You do not want your part to reference and external part.

This may not work with complicated castings with merged parts.
