Range in Thermal Exp Coeff, Non Metals

Hi All,

Could you please help me understand that what does ,"Range,C/F" indicate in "Table C-5 Thermal Expansion Coefficient, Nonmetals", Pg. 247 in ASME B31.3 2008.

Thanks in advance

RE: Range in Thermal Exp Coeff, Non Metals

CTE for most materials changes with temperature. The reported CTE is essentially the average over the given range.

Thanks for the reply.
I have a query that if the reported CTE is average over the range, then which value should be used outside the range.

Thanks
