Help needed adding a picture to a model

Help needed adding a picture to a model

Help needed adding a picture to a model

(OP)
I searched and found the Sketch Picture function but there is an issue with it.

I am trying to model a data plate that show the typical stuff like SN, Model Number, Company Logo..... The problem is that the white background (non graphic portion) of the picture covers the mounting holes on the corners of the data plate.

The only workaround I see is to break the picture into three pictures of different widths so the background can be smaller near the holes.

Anyone know of a good solution?

Thanks in advance

RE: Help needed adding a picture to a model

There are several solutions;

Edit the photo to have a transparent background
Edit the photo to have transparent holes to match the mounting holes
Edit the data plate to have slightly raised area around the holes to give the illusion of holes in the picture
Place a screw in the hole to cover the problem

Shortly after I posted this question, I spoke with our graphics guy. He asked if I could use a .PNG file. Evidently they can be made with a transparent background. It worked like a charm.

Thanks for the help guys.
