Hi to all

Well i just need a clear clarification regarding below situation

Case 1- I have a WPS which is P1 G1 and qualified with P43 Gr. Unassigned

Case 2- I have a WPS which is P1 G2 and qualified with P1 GI.

Impact is the requirement ( For weld as well as for HAZ )

Now , clearification need for following

Is with above two WPS i can weld P1G2 with P43 Gr. Unassigned

No, if P1Gr2 material is subject to impact testing.

Hi,

No because, If Impact test requirement is specified then Group No. becomes essential variable from supplementary essential variable and P No. is also an essential variable. Hence, a qualification of procedure is required.
