hello everyone,
I am interested to learn msc nastran..but i am new to this software..but somehow learned how to work in nastran. so i tried woeking out so many simple problems but i am not gettting any results for them. below i mention step by step procedure for the problems i tried to worked out..if there are any problems in my procedure pls correct me..
1.Created required geometry
2.created model material and model properties(do i need to assign model's material properties to the model or it automatically assigned ??)
3.created mesh
4.applied constraints and loads, then
5.file is saved and file-->analysis-->run analysis
6.message window shows no error
after this i dont know how to view results..

pls help me...thanks in advance..

For your point no2, yes, you do need to assign material properties to your elements. If you haven't done that, I am surprise no error such as elements without properties was displayed.

Anyhow, in the same folder where you have you model file (.bdf) you should also have a results file (.f06) and a Patran post-processing file (.xdb or .op2). If there was an error in the analysis, .f06 file should show a "fatal" message. See that message and pray that it means something usefull. You can find on MSC software website simple tutorial that will teach you step by step how to make a model.
