Identification symbol type leader

Identification symbol type leader

Identification symbol type leader

Hi,
where is the customer default setting for the identification symbol type leader ?
I would like to set to no stub.
The only that I've found is about part list symbols.

Thank you...

RE: Identification symbol type leader

I'm not aware of any place or any method to preset the leader appearance of ID symbols.

That being said, if you do change it, the system will retain this using Dialog Memory so that the next time you start a session of NX and you go and create an ID sysmbol, the leader style will still be set to 'Without Stub', and it will remain set this way until you change it to some other style.

RE: Identification symbol type leader

You have found a setting in customer defaults to to change the ID symbol to no-stub for the parrts list?

Please share, I have looked for this and must have missed it.

Thanks

RE: Identification symbol type leader

NO, it's NOT in Customer Defaults but rather it's set in the Symbol dialog itself. Once set, 'Dialog Memory' will see that it remains that way until it's changed to some other setting, even if you leave this session and launch a new one.

I think you will find that that only has an effect on the Automatically generated call-out symbols created when a Parts List if added to a Drawing. In your original post you explicitly stated that you already know about the Parts List option BUT that you were looking for something to control Identification Symbols, which I took to mean the ones that you created manually.

John you haver right, but I think that STDETMER has asked for the ID symbol leader type created automatically with the 'Auto balloon' command.

Thank you...
