NX Custom Toolbars from User.MTX file

NX Custom Toolbars from User.MTX file

(OP)
I have created a custom toolbar in my NX session and I can see that it is located in the <Repository> section of the user.mtx XML file.

I would like to make this toolbar available to any users who wish to use it. Since I noticed the comment "However, we now recommend customizing your interface with the options on the Customize dialog box, instead of writing .utd and .tbr files." in the NX75 documentation, I was wondering what is the best way to deploy this? Should I append my <Repository> section to the other users user.mtx files?

Thanks,
Jeff

RE: NX Custom Toolbars from User.MTX file

- Interesting to hear an "official Siemens comment" ( -Are you listening John ?) on this matter.

- How should we make this type of site setups common to all users if they are stored in a local user.mtx ?

A ".tbr" file is very simple to make site wide.
( Place the ".tbr" in a "\startup\" -folder under the "UGII_SITE_DIR". Done.)

Regards,
Tomas
