ASTM A-778 Allowable Stress

ASTM A-778 Allowable Stress

ASTM A-778 Allowable Stress

Where can I find the allowable stress for ASTM A-778 TP 304 stainless steel tube if it is not in ASME B31.3?

Going Bonkers!

RE: ASTM A-778 Allowable Stress

On Google!
Do you know how to search on Google?
Open your internet browser.
Since you got to E-Tips, I guess you can do that.
Type into the first box, "http://www.google.com"
Hit the return key (the one with the bent arrow).
Type in, "ASTM A-778 TP 304 stainless steel tube allowable stress"
hit the return key, remember which one that is?
Download the document you will see behind the Sandvik link.
Look at page 55.

BigInch,

Thank you for this reference. A great site and a lot of good information. However, ASTM A-778 is still not listed. I do not understand why it's not showing up somewhere. I assume that I can still use the allowable stress from sources like these that are not actually from the ASME code book?

Bonkers

Only in conjunction with the provisions of unlisted materials.
Try this one.
