Tacky Thermoplastic Urethane Supplier
Tacky Thermoplastic Urethane Supplier
(OP)
Hi all,
I'm trying to source a tacky material to attach a consumer product to a flat surface. Specifically, I'm looking for something that would be reusable for a number of cycles but would still hold the product securely in place. The loads that the material would experience would probably be in the range of 3-5 lbs.
In my search so far I've landed on the idea of a tacky TPU. I've managed to find a number of other products that use this type of material, but I haven't been able to source the urethane itself. I'd be looking to purchase it in sheet form if possible. Do any of you have experience with this type of material or know of a vendor that I could get in touch with?
Thanks!

My first thought was Velcro.
Sicaflex or 3M might also be worth a shout.

There are also the putty style of temporary adhesives, whose makers I cannot recall at the moment.
It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
