Counter reading of LA

Counter reading of LA

Counter reading of LA

(OP)
Hi

During routine inspection, we observed that counter reading of one of the 220 kV LA's has increased to 76 from 21 in one week time. I am arraning for checking the 3rd harmonic leakage current. Is there any specific reason for this sudden increase in counter reading can be ascertained and whats recommended after this finding?

RE: Counter reading of LA

RAgrawal,
It wouldn't hurt to test your arrestors if your taking your system down.
Compare the watts losses of each like arrestor.
Eeach section should be tested if they're multi-stack.

I can't speak on the harmonics.

Hope you get this resolved,

Mike
