RE: CPU Thottleing (NX 6)

I'll bet you're running a 'quad-core' configuration, eh?

Mircosoft, in the their infinity wisdom, has decided that for multi-core configurations, that the 'Performance' Panel of the Task Manager, with its 'CPU Usage' column, will show the status of THAT core which is currently being used most fully, but that it reports this usage by as a percentage of what IT contributes to the POTENTIAL of all the cores. Therefore, for a quad-core configuration, the best that you will ever see 'reported' in the 'CPU Usage' column will be 25%, for a dual-core this maximum will be 50%, and so on.

Therefore, if you're seeing a 'CPU Usage' of 25%, you're already maxed-out.
