Extension Spring Tensile Strength (Rm)
Extension Spring Tensile Strength (Rm)
(OP)
Does anyone know where I can locate a table of the different tensile strengths for different wire diameters? Specifically these wires are used in solid extension coil springs and range typically from 6mm to 12mm in wire diameter (1200MPa for 10mm 1.4310). Also, the material is rust-proof 1.4310 or 1.4568. I currently have data only up to 10mm but cannot locate for larger diameters....
Help is greatly appreciated.

RE: Extension Spring Tensile Strength (Rm)
Larger diameters may be specified in which case the parties shall agree their tensile strength at the time of enquiry and order.
The Japanese standard JIS G 4314 specifies tensile strength on diameters up to 12 mm: the requirement is a range, 880 to 1130 MPa.
