Fuel Gas Requirement

Fuel Gas Requirement

Fuel Gas Requirement

(OP)
Good day All,

How can I determine the fuel gas requirement for a gas turbine generator?

I am what I am by His grace

RE: Fuel Gas Requirement

Make it easy:) Ask turbine vendor. In reality it will be much more accurate. The calculation you can do is only guess.

RE: Fuel Gas Requirement

Sometimes turbine vendors can be VERY slow getting back to an engineer, especially if they think it will not directly lead to a sale.

So in general for concepts etc: Assume approx. 1/3 thermal efficiency and use the heat of compustion of your fuel gas to calculate the rate.

Best regards

Morten
