Need your help about free span. I really don't understand about onset condition in free span calculation and meaning of Cross-flow deflection in calculation free span. Hope receive smart answer from you. Thank in advance.

RE: pipeline free span

From your post I don't understand your question, if you wish to receive a sensible answer then pose a sensible question or better still provide a sketch.

RE: pipeline free span

I suspect the OP is a non english speaker and has been double whammied by google translator or the like. I think the following sentence "I really don't understand about onset condition in free span calculation and meaning of Cross-flow deflection in calculation free span" should be "I really don't understand about boundary conditions in free span calculation and meaning of shear deflection in calculation free span"

But we'll probably never know!

Cheers

Go to Amazon and buy the Kellog Piping Design Handbook for USD16. It covers the topic.

RE: pipeline free span

I think you just posted in the wrong forum. You probably meant this question for forum378: Pipelines, Piping and Fluid Mechanics engineering. However, before you post over there, why don't you read these three threads, and see if they answer your question. If not, you might want to post a more definitive question about what you really want to know in that forum. If you do so, please come back here and delete this post by clicking the "Inappropriate post? If so, Red Flag it!" in the bottom center of the thread and tell the system administrator that you've moved your question to a more appropriate forum.
