Natural Gas Compressor Selection
Natural Gas Compressor Selection
(OP)
Im attempting to estimate the costs for a natural gas compressor station on a 42 inch line.
So far Im looking at a GE or Rolls Royce 211 Driver (around 15-25 MW) and I have to select a compressor (currently looking at Dresser Rand Datum compressors.
The inlet pressure is 6.5 MPA, and the outlet pressure is 10.2 MPA, inlet temp is estimated at 15 C, and outlet at 35C ,and the flow rate is 22000 acfm.
How do I go about determining power requirements, number of stages, compressor type, and driver selection for each compressor?
Additionally, I need to estimate total costs of the compressor station, and dont have a basis to work off of.....any suggestions?
Appreciate any help!

"Belief" is the acceptance of an hypotheses in the absence of data.
"Prejudice" is having an opinion not supported by the preponderance of the data.
"Knowledge" is only found through the accumulation and analysis of data.
