QW-453 Hardfacing Overlay

QW-453 Hardfacing Overlay

QW-453 Hardfacing Overlay

(OP)
Note 2 of the table reads that the hardfaced layer is to be 1 1/2" min. wide X min. 6" long. Is this the deposited or final machined hardfacing? If this is deposited harfacing dimension, is there a min. final machined, (i.e. surface conditioned), dimension?

RE: QW-453 Hardfacing Overlay

It is my opinion these are as-welded dimensions i-e 38 mm x 150 mm.
Minimum final machined dimensions requirements, I do not see in Section IX.
Please read also the 2nd sentence of Paragraph QW-462.

RE: QW-453 Hardfacing Overlay

Note 2 refers to as-deposited dimensions.
