Books on design of precast structures

(OP)
Hi. I was just recently hired and I got tasked with designing precast load bearing and non load bearing walls. I didn't have a subject that taught precast/prestressed construction in college. Does anyone know of any books about precast design? Preferably a book that is for beginners that teaches step by step design procedures.

RE: Books on design of precast structures

I have Nawy's "Prestressed Concrete: A Fundamental Approach" from the grad school class I took. It was useful. I'd also recommend getting the PCI Design Handbook, as a lot of what you need is right in there.

There are lots of schools offering online classes now - you might look for a precast class.

Good luck!

RE: Books on design of precast structures

PCI design handbook is the best reference I have seen.

RE: Books on design of precast structures

Second ztengguy. PCI Handbook is the way to go.
