Im fresh graduate mechanical engineer and planning to apply in a Coal fired powerplant, but before that I decided to make a power plant to be supplied in our town. How do i get the plant capacity? Can you suggest me some books to be use designing condenser, cooling tower, etc..

There are a few places online to check. Maybe the regional ISO website or try digging thru Platts Data. I know my firm has a GIS layer that is from there that has some high level generation data like summer and winter ratings for each plant in US.
