HALT Chamber vibration data

HALT Chamber vibration data

HALT Chamber vibration data

(OP)
Hi,

I have a HALT chamber that uses pneumatic hammers to excite the table in a broad band random vibration profile that is roughly 5-5000 hz. The data aquisition systme uses a Kistler 4 channel coupler to get the IPE Accel data and send it to the control program. The control system will give me up to 4 channels of data(Control and 3 aux.) but only gives overall level in GRMS. I want to get the PSD, Option 1 means investing a ferw thousand dollars with the chamber manuf. to get their third party analyzer. I've already spoken to Kistler-they referred me to the chamber manuf.
I haven't gotten a good explanation as to Why can't I take the output of the 3 AUX channels on the Kistler coupler and feed them directly in to a spectrum analyzer? The Chamber folks just say "Can't do it, buy our analyzer" Right now I just want a couple of PSD curves to sho wmy boss.

Thanks in advance

CP

I have scopes, leads, Spectrum analyzer. I was just wondering if anyone else had 'hacked' the Qualmark accel signals in this way. Another possibility would be software-they use RSLinx.
