extruded solids' resolution

extruded solids' resolution

(OP)
Is there a setting that allows me to change the resolution (not sure if that is even the correct terminology) of an extruded solid? When you extrude a sketch, the solid extrusion is not as smooth as the actual sketch. An example of this is in the picture attached. The light blue line is the sketch, and you can see the solid not exactly how the sketch is drawn.

This isn't a big deal when you are dealing with large parts, but I find it annoying when I am working with very small parts and zoom in and it looks different than how it should be.

RE: extruded solids' resolution

The setting you are looking for is Accuracy.
All solid modelers use a faceted surface display to speed up rendering time. You can reduce the chord lengths by trial and error. If you are zoomed in that tight on your drawing views that it shows, then you need to adjust it. The one thing you can do is move the sketch entity to a different layer than the solid and blamk the sketch layer.

On the Edge/Line tab change edge quality to very high. You might want to select the smooth line option too.

On the Shade tab set the quality to 10.

Note that these settings may slow your system response.
